Melanie earned her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. She was called to the Ontario Bar in February 2002 after completing her articles with a boutique litigation firm in Toronto. Throughout her career, she has honed her expertise in insurance defence and personal injury litigation, with a particular focus on Accident Benefits claims, Tort claims and Professional Negligence matters. For the past fifteen years, Melanie has dedicated her practice solely to Accident Benefit claims, Loss Transfer disputes and Priority disputes.
Melanie’s impressive legal acumen has enabled her to handle a diverse range of cases, representing clients before Judges and Masters at the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal and even the Supreme Court of Canada. She has been involved in private mediations, FSCO mediations and arbitrations, appeals, trials and hearings before the Workplace Safety Board, as well as matters before the Insurance Appeal Tribunal.
Melanie is a proud wife, mother of two and an active member of her community. She deeply values giving back, and is a dedicated volunteer who has served as the President of her children’s school Parent Council for seven consecutive years.
